Sunday Night With John: If You Speak It, They Will Come

The first ever Sunday Night With John: Live, went off without a hitch yesterday.  Putting on my own event caused me to worry that I would be speaking in front of just my wife. I could have easily accomplished that feat in our living room without taking weeks to design and send out invites, prep food and drinks, and a book venue. Well I’m happy to announce at my event I was talking to way more people than just my wife.  The event held in Mason City, IA brought out members of the Mason Community, but also people from Minneapolis, Iowa City, Muscatine, Marion, and Cortland, OH. Though the Cortland, Ohio couple was my mom and her husband so that is cheating a little.

I want to thank those who took time out of their busy lives to attend and allow me the opportunity to share my message with them. I know a number of attendees will be helping to push my message to new heights just by sharing with family and friends what they heard yesterday. That’s how this talk started to spread ten years ago, a couple of people telling their colleagues, friends, and family about a guy with a glorious red beard who is getting people to laugh, cry, and open up about our emotions, and the life moments that shake us to our core.

That’s how this message will spread over the next ten years, by people who read my blog, or hear my talk and pass my name along to someone else. By people liking and sharing my blog and facebook posts, and passing off my business cards, or sending out post cards, and maybe displaying my new fancy stickers proudly. So thank you for reading, thank you for attending, and most importantly thank you for believing this message is worth sharing. Here is to the next ten years and continuing to grow, learn, inspire, and help people.  Next on the agenda, finish the website overhaul, edit and release a bunch of new videos, and book that next gig. Share Emotions, Emotions Matter is just getting started.
