Sunday Night With John: What A Wonderful Response

I released a special post-election blog on Wednesday. If you didn’t get a chance to read my reactions, here is the link.

I didn't expect the response this blog garnered from my readers. I heard from past teachers, past classmates, current co-workers, and past audience members who all sent me a message saying that my words had impacted them positively in a weird week. Reading these emails, posts, and comments re-affirmed my belief that this country is bigger than one election cycle, one person winning or losing an election.

I want to thank my kind, loyal, and lovely readers who pass along my messages to others. "Share Emotions, Emotions Matter" has grown only by your due diligence in spreading my message. To past audience members who have handed out my business card or sent one of my post cards to a friend; to my family who has encouraged the dream; and to everyone who has helped me to share my story and message, I cannot say how much it means. To hear your stories, and to hear how my story, presentation, or blog has helped you, is why I do this.

Numerous people have felt jaded this week, but there is hope within that feeling. We have the ability to rise up from the ashes we find ourselves in. I have based my professional career on rising from my own ashes. We have the ability to share our unique, beautiful view of the world no matter whether we are conservative, liberal, immigrant, natural-born, or green, yellow, purple, black or white. When we do that, we add depth, value, and greater meaning to our corner of the world. I did just that on Wednesday and my corner of the world gave me the best response -- hope.
