I return to my roots this Sunday, writing about emotions and how we should linger in our feelings long enough to understand what they communicate.

Leadership is tricky and we make it a lot harder when we lose focus on the whole point of leading. I do my best not to, by following two rules I was given by Theresa Jones as a young professional. It’s pretty on character for me to still think frontline work leadership is the way to go, my advice is more leaders should follow that model.

if you only conduct yourself to pursuit of leadership roles, you over looks the work it takes to be a good leader. And those type of leaders are making the workpalce harder to navigate.

The Issues facing us and complex and have great depth, yet for some reason we think quick social media posts are the medium to find understanding these issues. I know first hand they are not!

We need to figure out a way to linger in life’s good moments longer. We always rush to the next and it has never made sense to me to move so quick through the good moments. Maybe they wouldn’t feel so little and so few if we did.

How having two imaginary friends as a young kid running around in his coutnry backyard shaped how I interact with with world? Well I can tell you one thing, I rarely look at a problem they way others do.

Who we need to be and who we are is always a tough needle to thread, but one we must attempt to thread. It’s the only way to make improvements while also not losing sight of who we are within our core beliefs.

My sister once sent me a picture with message one it- they said how you want for work, and now I’m talking to HR in my batman costume. I guess I’m weird, but being willing to be different led to my success, and even if it never resulted in success, leaning into resulted in my finding my inner peace.
