I’m rehashing the night my Cavs won the first Cleveland title in decades. It may seem like old news to you but after this horrible week of violence I wanted to remind myself there are still moments of pure joy to be found.

I had all the stupid held beliefs about how easy it must be to locate a job, and I have even worked in the field for years. In my first two weeks, I learned I knew exactly nothing about being homeless and what it takes to secure employment.

I had requested be turned to game five of the 2015 NBA Finals between my hometown team, the Cleveland Cavs vs. the Golden State Warriors. We were watching game 5 but this team stole my heart with their game 3 win.

“Joe Dirte.”  “Don't try and french-it-up son. Don't you mean Joe Dirt”

The line from the movie Joe Dirt has  cracked me up since I first heard it years ago. Even though I remembered the line incorrectly. It’s actually “Don’t church it up son” but I like “Don’t French it up," better so I stuck with it.

Let's call it a Friend-A-Versary: Celebrating 9 Years of Friendship Bliss

So as I settled into my seat for the 9:30am showing of the movie with a large pop (I don’t drink pop often, but it’s a must when taking in a movie) and a large popcorn with M&Ms sprinkled in, I couldn’t contain my smile as my friend joined in on the action in the seat next to me.
