We all have moments we remember who and where we at when something occurred. During this pandemic, I have missed those moments. I write about one tonight to remind us and myself those days are rare, and it’s good to tell people they happened.

So many privileges come from being straight, white, and male. This week I tackle all the stuff I don’t have to think about while running. It was one of the ways I could respond to the killing of a runner in Georgia without feeling useless. My other responses, well, I’m looking for help on that!

I can craft a story and keep a real slick beat on a drum set; after that, my ability to create runs rather slim. So my wife found it odd that I am so into a bunch of fashion shows. Suddenly I asked numerous questions about Avant guard, streetwear, and seamstresses.

People in the northern Indian state of Punjab are reacting with awe at the sight of the Himalayan mountain range, which is now visible from more than 100 miles away, due to the reduction in air pollution caused by the country's coronavirus lockdown.

We all miss someone, something, and some places as we navigate social distancing. The feeling of missing could bind us together because it’s our collective experience.

Things will be different when we begin to socialize again. Many will be grieving a loss and others will be faced with new labels they never expected to carry. How we manage our new normal will be crucial.

How being home more made me remember the epic hide and go seek games from my youth. Why those moments are essential for life and why we can, we need to return to them!

My two little girls will one day read and heat at least a little of my writings and story telling. Today’s entry into Sunday Night with John is about how I realize that when this is all over it will be all theres and my voice will always be close for them to hear if they need it!
