I can’t spell and I would probably fail a 7th grade grammar class.  It’s a fact that I’m reminded of every Sunday when I begin to write this blog.

Braden and I met on a basketball court 12 years ago when we where both 19. We didn’t get off to the best start. I yelled at him for being a ball hog, informing him this isn’t high school and that we move the ball in college

Being away from home for the holidays is never easy and at 30 years old, this was the first time I wouldn’t be home to banter about what to cook, get up early and work as a family in the kitchen with a glass of wine, taste my 88 year old and going strong grandma’s dessert, or spend time reminiscing about our families past and chat about our future.

Everything ends, a simple fact that should guide our actions to work to keep good things going, and allow us to walk away from things that need to end.
