My Dad has been deceased for just about 18 years now, so how I did end up receiving a gift from him this past summer? 

Not so long ago I experienced a life-changing moment.  It was an unexpected comment from what I thought was a stranger.  The story goes like this…It was the first day of a weeklong training to learn a new approach for working with children

I started to look around at the space I was charged to fill with my message.  It was small and there were chairs set up in semi circle.  I took the leap and stood in front of these skeptical kids and started to deliver my talk.  

Today my plan was undone by a nap.  But I earned it with every step of those 16 miles. 

Anne walks over the Iowa River every day. She could no longer stay silent about the site she was seeing. 

Tom Henson was more then a coach to Orwell, Ohio; he was more than that to me as well. 

…But I’m not pro-bully either. Before we dive into this mess let me ask you if I told you, your child or someone who you loved dearly could become the Steve Jobs (Apple) of their field, would you jump at the opportunity to watch your child or loved one have unparallel success?  Most of us probably would. Steve Jobs who was very well regarded was somewhat of a bully.  

Dad used to come home with a mixed bag of jumbo jellybeans from work every couple of weeks.  It was a gift to us he would say but seeing him upset when we picked through the mixed bag to eat all the cinnamon flavored red ones, told us a different story.
