Just about one year ago today I made the commitment to write a blog each week to connect with my audience in a new and exciting way.

Alta lived through The Great Depression; married a man that served in World War II who everyone says was a great man. She raised a son, Jay Hansen that I have yet to find a single person utter a bad word about.  At 89 years of age she still walks 3 miles a day, and when we were doing yard work for the wedding she showed up with a rake to help.  I hope I have half of her energy at age 89. 

Today I write to the youth who I was placed in charge of to help lead and guide them to a better place in life.  The profound impact that these wonderful people had on me will never be forgotten. I already look back fondly on memories that we created together. 

Sorry this is a day late. I'm sure you will forgive me since I was on my honeymoon. 

Look, I could try to capture my wedding weekend and the wonderful emotional journey I took but it's still all too fresh convey to you today. 

I remember the following life lesson in all its glory; let me paint the picture for you.   I was playing downstairs in the basement getting ready for the wonderful summer life a kid gets to have after finishing the 3rd grade.  

What does my message, Share Emotions, Emotions Matter mean to a room full of students whose main job is to create a new look, cut, or style for their costumers?
